Transferred without personnel and equipment to Luke AFB, AZ in 1974; redesignated as a tactical fighter squadron; manned and equipped for new mission of providing tactical fighter training for US and allied military personnel. Trained US military and selected allied military F-15 pilots, July 1974-March 1994. Some personnel deployed to Persian Gulf in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, November 1990-March 1991. Since, 1994, conducted air operations as required in support of US and NATO taskings, including Operations Deny Flight, deliberate Force, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. | ||
