HOREZU

Official blazon
Un scut tăiat, cu partea superioară despicată. În primul cartier, pe fond de azur, se află un edificiu religios, privit din față, cu o turlă cu acoperiș ascuțit, terminat cu o cruce "în cruciulițe", totul de argint. În cartierul doi, pe fond de azur, o acvilă bicefală de aur. În partea inferioară, pe fond roșu, o farfurie de ceramică, de argint, având reprezentat în centru un cocoș roșu, iar pe margine, ornamente geometrice redate cu negru. În dreapta și în stânga farfuriei se află două crengi verzi de stejar care se încrucișează la baza scutului, fiecare fiind formată din trei frunze și câte o cochilie de ghindă. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint, formată din trei turnuri crenelate.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on September 30, 1998.
The building represents the famous Brancoveanu churchthat gives fame to the locality. The eagle is a specific sign of the Cantacuzino family, of which Constantin Brâncoveanu was also a part; refers to the existing ornament on the pillar from Dionysius' Tower, from the foundation here
