COSÂMBEȘTI

District/county (județ): Ialomița

Stema Cosâmbești

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 20, 2011.

The wheatears and the sun represent the main occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture, especially sunflower cultivation.

The wavy bar symbolises the Ialomița river, which crosses the locality.

The church symbolizes the historical monument built in 1864, dedicated to "Saint Nicholas".

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
