Origin/meaning
The Starfish symbolises the Sea that surrounds the Station on three sides. The five legs of the Starfish also alludes to the five major functions located at the Station:HQ, Flying Squadrons, Hospital, Signals Centre and RAF Regiment. The Badge was granted in August 1950.
