Origin/meaning
The gold and green refer to the forest wealth of the district. The chevron represents the two rivers Doubandji and Ovighi on either side of which the three main tribes represented by the three assegais which make up the Eschira ethnic group have settled.
The serrated edge of the chevron refers to the forestry operations.
