Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 15, 1965.
The arms are based on the arms of the family Ochsenberger zu Kitzbühel, whose arms are known since the 14th century. Their arms were part of the seal of the Jochberg court and were therefore taken as municipal arms. The arms also refer to the -Berg part of the name and the agricultural character of the municipality.
