Special tiles were a fashionable article from around 1900-1950. In many countries heraldic tiles were issued, but as far as I know only in the Netherlands large series of heraldic tiles were produced by two different competing companies. These tiles showed the arms of the royal family, but especially town, municipal and provincial arms. Many hundreds of thes tiles have been produced, all in standard square size.
 
Besides these, many other heraldic tiles have been produced in the Netherlands and elsewhere. Whenever I have images of such tiles (there should be many many more than listed here), these will be added.
 
The images have been taken several years ago from different websites. Unfortunately I have not registered where I found them. If you know the website(s) where the images probably originate from, please mail me and I will add the link here as a source !
