Aaltokorokatkoisen kilven mustassa yläkentässä kultainen kirkonkello, kultaisessa alakentässä musta, reunoihin ulottuva verkko.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 17, 1951.

The bell refers to the fact that the village church has been known as the largest wooden church in Christianity. The wavy division line and the fishing net refer to the Puruvesi lake and the (former) importance of fishing for the municipality.
