COLLSUSPINA
Region: Catalonia
Province: Barcelona
Catalan | Escut caironat: de sinople, un coll d'or movent de la punta sobremuntat d'una mata d'espina d'argent. Per timbre una corona mural de poble. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 26, 1988.
Canting arms: they show a "coll" (Catalan for "mountain pass") and, above, a "espina" (hawthorn). In fact, the village developed along the ancient road from Vic to Manresa near the Coll de l'Espina (literally "Hawthorn Pass").
