Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 25, 1953.
The left half of the arms shows two castles, the Rocca of Predappio (now Rocca of predappio Alta) and the Rocca d'Elmici castles. The right half now shows a bunch of grapes instead. The area is well known for its wine, hence the grapes are an appropriate symbol.
In the 1930s the grapes were replaced by the fascist symbol, see below.
