Origin/meaning
The arms are impaled with the arms of the Archdiocese. The personal coat of arms of the archbishop show a silver field, divided by a black cross with a red star; this has been derived from a certain Pantin family from Brittany and is used here to symbolise the last name of the archbishop. To this a silver lily, symbol of St Anthony, has been added. The dove within the triangle of the upper portion is an expression of the Congregation of the Holy Ghost, of which the archbishop was a member.
