History: Constituted as 27 Communications Squadron, Division, on 30 August 1954. Activated on 8 October 1954. Redesignated as: 27 Communications Squadron, Air Force, on 1 April 1970; 27 Communications Squadron, Division, on 1 January 1975; 27 Communications Squadron on 1 July 1976; 27 Information Systems Squadron on 6 July 1984; 27 Communications Squadron on 1 November 1986; 633 Communications Squadron on 1 Novemner 1991. Inactivated on 1 October 1994. Activated on 7 January 2010.
