Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a green triangle with one point down couped in base a yellow triangle one point down, and overall a white Viking’s head in profile detailed green with yellow hair and mustache; and attached above the triangle a green bar scroll inscribed “BLAIR” in yellow letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height, all within a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border, the overall dimensions 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height and 2 5/8 inches (6.67 cm) in width.
Origin/meaning
Green and yellow are the school colors. The two triangles form the configuration of a “V” and allude to the school mascot, the Viking. The Viking is symbolic of military preparedness and strength.
