RHEINWALD DISTRICT

Canton : Graubünden

Wappen von Rheinwald (district)/Arms (crest) of Rheinwald (district)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms show the Rhein river with five stars for the five municipalities in the district. The Rhein already appears on the oldest seal, but with five pine trees and St. Vincentius as supporter. Seals with a similar composition were still in use in the 19th century.
