The arms show the local church dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose tower is a distinctive feature of the city. The three hills symbolize the hills located in the area of Reda, as well as the three parts of the city itself: Ciechocino, Pieleszewo and Reda. The color blue in the base symbolizes the river Reda.

The arms were officially adopted on February 6, 1996.

The arms show the local church dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose tower is a distinctive feature of the city.
