German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on September 11, 1989.
The arms contain the emblems and arms of former and present landowners in the municipality. The Styrian panther (for the Dukes of Styria), a lion (for Eder von Kainbach), the cross of the Teutonic Order and the pomegranate of the Brothers of Charity (Barmherzige Brüder).
Of all these, only the latter are still at Kainbach, running a renowned Mental Home.
