CHAMPMARTIN

Canton: Vaud
Incorporated into: 2002 Cudrefin

Armoiries de Champmartin

Official blazon

D'or à l'écrevisse de gueules.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 1915.

The arms with a crayfish are based on the nickname of the villagers at the time. I have no information why they were called crayfish.
