PUCHENAU

State : Oberösterreich
District : Urfahr-Umgebung

Coat of arms (crest) of Puchenau
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 24, 1978.

The arms are canting for the town, as the name is derived from a meadow (Au) full of beeches (Buchen). The wavy bend in the base of the arms symbolises the Donau (Danube) river.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
