Origin/meaning
The Hand shown is from a Plaster Cast, probably that of (later) Admiral of the Fleet Sir Henry Jackson, who made and first used initial wireless transmitter (1910-1912) before Marconi. The Latin motto translates as "With knowledge and confidence full, to defy". The Badge was approved in 1953.
