Un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat de un brâu undat de argint. În partea superioară se află o privighetoare de aur, orientată spre dreapta. În vârful scutului se află o cruce treflată de aur, flancată de 4 spice de grâu de aur, poziționate semicircular, două în dreapta, două în stânga și încrucișate, jos, în săritoare. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 15, 2013.

The nightingale refers to the queen of popular music, who was born and lived in these lands, Maria Lătărețu.

The cross reminds of the places of worship in the area, some being declared historical monuments, such as the church of St. John the Baptist in the locality, built by the family of the boyar Bengescu, 300 years ago.

Wheat ears represent the main occupation of the inhabitants, agriculture, and their number indicates the villages that are part of the commune.
