POTCOAVA
District/county (județ) : Olt
Official blazon
- (ro) un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat de un brâu undat de argint. În partea superioară se află o potcoavă de aur. În vârful scutului se află o sondă de extracție a petrolului de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu trei turnuri crenelate.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 9, 2015
The wavy bar represents the Plapcea brook, which crosses the locality.
The horseshoe is a canting element.
The well symbolises the activity of extracting oil and gas from the area.
The mural crown with three towers means that the town has the status of a city.
