På blått fält en bandvis ställd ström av silver, belagd med en antik åska av fältets färg samt åtföljd på vardera sidan av en lilja av guld. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on January 30, 1920 and confirmed in 1971.
Ludvika is known since the 15th century and was in the 17th century a possession of Alex Lillie and in the 17th century it became a possession of the Cedercreutz family. Both these families used a lily in their arms, which is symbolised by the two lilies. The bend is the local river, which is used to generate hydro-electric power.
