German Ein geteilter Schild. Die obere Hälfte ist in drei Reihen zu je sechs Plätzen von Rot und Silber geschacht; das untere rote Feld wird von einem silbernen Balken durchzogen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 10, 1929.

The arms are based on the arms of the locally important Von Schönstein family, as described in a grant of arms from 1554. The base of the family arms was plain red, this was changed to the Austrian arms in 1929.
