The third quarter shows symbols for the agriculture (cow's head and wheatear) and the textile industry. The fourth quarter shows a book and a torch as symbols for education. The escutcheon shows the lion of the former Kingdom of Léon, and of the province of Nueva Léon, in which the village is situated.
