Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 5, 1985.

Historically the area of the present municipality of Saeul belonged to the Estates of Useldange and Pittange. A small part of the municipality belonged to the Estate of Septfontaines. The arms combine the elements of the three former estates :
the bars are derived from the arms of Useldange (barry of silver and red of 10 pieces); the golden cross is derived from the arms of Pittange and the silver cross from Septfontaines.
