Origin/meaning
The arms were granted 24th Aug, 1987.
The arms illustrate the name of the municipality. Lesach is derived from an ancient Slavic word, meaning "at the forest-men's". Most of the municipal lands is wooded. Firs are typical in this part of Carinthia and for the altitude.
