Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 11, 1959.

The fish is taken from the arms of the Aspeland hundred, to which the area historically belonged. The wavy bar refers to the Emå river and the wheels refer to the former watermills. At the same time they refer to the historical and modern industries.
