The upper half shows a deer antler, taken from the arms of the Feucht family. The family acquired the local castle in 1409 and held it in its possession for more than a century. During this period the Hungarians invaded Austria and they established a stronghold in the area, the Tettauer Schanze (wall of Tettau), named after Lord Tettau, who commanded the stronghold.
