AMERING

State: Steiermark
District: Murtal (until 2015 Judenburg)
Incorporated into: 2015 Obdach

Wappen von Amering/Arms (crest) of Amering
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on May 25, 1981.

A piece of carpenter's work, a "Kreuzbund" is the sole charge of the arms. Forest culture is very important in the village and houses are built of wood, traditionally. There are special methods of jointing and linking the timbers. One of these is the Kreuzbund.
