Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on August 15, 1984.
The village lies near the Cistercian monastery of Rein. The monastery owned land here in the Middle Ages and has provided for the parish church for centuries. In 1867, a new church was built on a hill surmounting the smaller old one. All this is reflected in the coat of arms bearing two crosses.
