Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 20, 2014.

The flax flower is the floral emblem of the municipality of Saint-Victor. The gold colour and the cartwheel recall its agricultural vocation. The cross represents the seminary located in the municipality. Its wavy shape alludes to the nearby Fortin Lake.

The horse symbolizes agriculture and the Western festival held each year in Saint-Victor. The axe evokes the essential role of the pioneers and the first lumberjacks of the municipality. The wheat sheaf reinforces the agriculture symbolism, while the maple leaf reflects the municipality’s location in Canada.

The motto means “United to build”.
