ÉTREMBIÈRES

Département : Haute-Savoie

Blason de Étrembières

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on February 17, 1983.

The tower refers to the local castle and ladder to the hamlet of Pas-de-l'Echelle. The base symbolises the Arve, the subterranean waters of Salève and the waterfall of Eaux-Belles.

The gold and green are taken from the arms of the Swiss commune of Veyrier, separated from the village by the Treaty of Turin of 16 March 1816.
