Region : Pirkanmaa
Former province : 1997-2009 Länsi-Suomi (until 1997 Häme)
Additions : 1973 Suoniemi; 1976 Tottijärvi
Official blazon
Kultakentässä sininen, alainen aaltokoroinen palkki, jonka yläpuolella musta punavaruksinen näätä pystyasennossa.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 25, 1951.
The arms show a marten, which is derived from the old name of the town (noki-näätä means a kind of marten). The blue bar symbolises the Nokia creek, a tributary of the Kumo river .
