In keel een pelikaan met zijn jongen in het nest, alles van zilver, wonde en bloeddruppels van keel, overtopt met de Brugse relikwie van het Heilig Bloed. Het schild geplaatst op twee schuingekruiste sleutels van zilver en van goud en op een paalsgewijze geplaatst conopeum van goud en van keel met een schacht van goud.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 2013.
The arms of the Sacred Blood Basilica in brugge show a pelican feeding his young, which makes it canting arms. Above the pelican the relic with the Sacred Blood, which is kept in the basilica, is shown.
The shield is placed against the insignia of a basilica.
