The authors of the arms are Alois Sassmann and Václav Hes. The arms are split into two parts. The upper two fields are taken from the arms of the [[Diocese of České Budějovice]] while the lower field is a local reference representing the church of the Transfiguration of Jesus on Tábor Mountain. The mountain itself is represented by the mount in base. Above it is a chalice to represent the Hussite founders of the church. To the right are the Ten Commandments, to the left the Holy Scripture.
