Province : Trenčín
District (okres) : Trenčín

Opatovce (Erb, znak)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 11, 2006.

The town is in possession of a 1732 seal whose contents were transferred into a shield to form its arms. The town has a historical connection with the river Váh and contains many watermills. This is likely where the symbolism in the seal is derived from.
