Escudo de prata com uma cruz florenciada de verde, tendo sobre o cruzamento um escudete de ouro com uma árvore de verde, troncada e arrancada de negro. Esta árvore arrematada por uma águia aberta de negro. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com os dizeres a negro : " VILA DE AVIS ".
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 3, 1934.
