Escudo de prata, com um ramo de castanheiro com três ouriços de ouro e folhado e troncado de verde. orla de negro carregada de nove rosetas de espora de prata, abertas do campo da orla. Coroa mural de prata de cinco torres. Listel branco com os dizeres a negro : " MACEDO DE CAVALEIROS ".
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 11, 1999. The previous arms were granted on April 27, 1935 (above left) and hav ethe same symbolism.
Unfortunately I have no background information on these arms. Any information is welcome !
