Shield: Per fess urdy Celeste and Crimson charged with a wrench bendwise Argent surmounted by a sword palewise Or oppressed by another wrench bendwise sinister of the Third.
Crest: That for the Regiments and separate Battalions of the Army Reserve: From a wreath Or and Crimson the Lexington Minute Man Proper. The Statue of the Minute Man Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor) stands on the common in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Motto: Support with distinction
Distictive Unit Insignia, Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consting of a vertical light blue sword, hilt and pommel gold between two gold wrenches crossed saltirewise, all encircled by continuous crimson scroll, the upper area surmounted by the point of the sword and the lower aera inscribed "SUPPORT WITH DISTINCTION" in gold letters.
Origin/meaning
Crimson and light blue are the colours used for Maintenance Units. The Sword symbolizes the Military Arsenal the Battalion is to maintain. The Wrenches symbolizes the Tools required to perform this task.
The Coat of Arms was approved on 22 August 1996 and the Distinctive Unit Insignia on 2 October 1970.
