Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 29, 2014.
The fortress wall represents the Gurghiului Fortress. Daffodils signify the Daffodil Glade in the locality, declared a natural monument.
The acorns represent the 700-year-old secular oaks from the Mociar forest. The wavy barrepresents the Gurghiu river.
The green mound refers to the name of the locality, gurgui, which means mound.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
