EBEN IM PONGAU
State : Salzburg
District : Sankt Johann im Pongau
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 9, 1968.
The two wavy bends refer to the fact that the municipality os on the watershed between the Salzach and the Enns rivers. The colours and the diamonds are taken from the arms of the Admont Abbey, to which the area belonged in medieval times.
