Origin/meaning
The town did not have official arms. The arms above were used around 1900.
The arms combine (elements of) the arms of three important local families: Senhouse, Lutwidge and Fleming. The Senhouse and Lutwidge families held the Manor of Seascale. The Fleming family history shows a marriage with the Senhouse family in the 18th century.
