LEOPOLD ROST
Born : September 8, 1842
Deceased : July 6, 1913
Abbot of Schottenkloster in Wien, 1901-1913
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
As nearly all abbots, he combined the arms of the Abbey with his personal arms. The personal arms were granted on December 31, 1901. The personal arms show a grill (Rost), as a canting element and also refer to St. Lawrence. The cross and open book refer to his previous task a preacher in the abbey.
