Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on February 26, 1982.

The division of the shield refers to the road junction of Saint-Rémy. The wheel is a symbol of Epona, protector of horses, ponies, donkeys, and mules in Gallo-Roman religion. The tower symbolizes the old castle of Burgat de Taisey and the column refers to the Roman settlement in the area.
