Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a white shield edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border a yellow comet descending bendwise its tail enarched to sinister between five yellow four pointed stars, attached above a white scroll edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) green border inscribed “MILLS” in green letters. The overall dimensions are 3 1/2 inches (8.89 cm) in height by 2 inches (5.08 cm) in width.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A gold color metal and enamel device consisting of a green disk bearing five gold four pointed stars between a gold lamp in base and a gold comet in dexter chief with a gold tail arcing to sinister base. Overlapping at top a concave green scroll inscribed “WILBUR MILLS” in gold letters; overlapping at bottom a concave green scroll inscribed “HIGH SCHOOL” in gold letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: The comet is the school mascot. Green and gold are the colors of the school and reflect a proud Army tradition. The stars represent the cadets’ leadership and guidance in the school and community.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Green and gold are the school colors. The comet among the stars symbolizes the school as a special and unique place of learning for the cadets, as represented by the lamp of knowledge.

The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved on 8 October 1998. The shoulder loop insignia was approved on 23 December 1998.
