LIBIN

Province : Luxembourg
Additions : 1977 Anloy, Ochamps, Redu, Smuid, Transinne, Villance

Armoiries de Libin

Official blazon

D'argent à une anille de gueules brochante, au chef du même chargé de trois livres ouverts du champ.

Origin/meaning

The arms are not officially granted.

The chief shows three books, which can be seen as a canting element (livre), but also refer to the village of Redu, famous for its many (second-hand) book shops.

The mill-iron is taken as a symbol for the many watermills that were once operating in the municipality.
