LIMBERG BEI WIES
State : Steiermark
District : Deutschlandsberg
Incorporated into : 2015 Wies
German | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on June 6, 1977.
Limberg is a corruption of Lindenberg, hence the linden leafs and the mountain in the arms.
The chapel is dedicated to St Barbara and was a built by the miners (in Styria, we usually call them "Bergknappen") of the coal-mine Steyeregg (now closed down).
