Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 21, 1986.

The wheel in the upper left corner is the symbol of the State of Mainz, to which the area historically belonged until 1803. The oak leaf symbolises the Spessart region, which is known for its forests. The cog wheel symbolises the industral character of the municipality. The wavy bend symbolises the Aschaff river.
