Origin/meaning
The V in the first quarter is the Roman digit 5 and represents the Quint (5) part of the name. The second and third quarter show the sacred fountain (Fons Sacriva) and thus are canting for Fonsegrives. The fourth quarter shows St. Peter, the local patron saint. The inescutcheon shows the cross of the Languedoc/Occitane region.
