Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Austria - Österreichische Gemeindewappen |
AMERING
State : Steiermark
District : Judenburg
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 25, 1981.
A piece of carpenter's work, a "Kreuzbund" is the sole charge of the arms. Forest culture is very important in the village and houses are built of wood, traditionally. There are special methods of jointing and linking the timbers. One of these is the Kreuzbund.
